Citizenship Membership to the Yidindji Chamber of Commerce (Y.C.C.) is open to all Yidindji citizens and those in the process of becoming citizens. The 3 steps for applying for citizenship are listed below. These 3 Steps must be completed within 3 weeks of applying to become a Y.C.C member. If you need assistance, please contact us.
|
Step 1 Find out more about the Yidindji Nation | Decide if citizenship feels right for you by having a look around the Sovereign Yidindji Government (SYG) website, and downloading and reading the Citizenship Handbook. Watch the short Application Process Video below... (At this stage, please simply view the video - don't take any of the actions outlined in the video - we'll guide you through those steps at the appropriate time). |
Step 2 Choose your Tribal name |
Choose your new (Tribal) Yidindji Name. This can be anything of your choosing (so long as it does not have obscene or derogatory connotations). It may relate to a place of special significance or an ancestor or person who is especially loved. It may relate to a quality/ideal which calls you forward or be a name that you can 'grow into'. It may be a nickname you already possess. Your Tribal Name must be totally different to your Australian or Registered Name. . |
Step 3 Apply for citizenship | Send an email to citizenship@yidindji.org requesting a citizenship application form. The citizenship team will send you everything you need and guide you every step of the way. |
